I got nothin.

I've recently come to the conclusion that with nearly a year down on this blog venture that I really should be efficient enough to be posting something every day. Whether that's a song every day or just content, I don't know, but today I got nothin. Just so you know. Back tomorrow with a very nice song though!

How about how the writer's strike might result in visitors going to hear live music instead of Broadway? Actually, the gray haired beauties who want to see a Broadway Musical might not be drawn to usic that is currently performed live locally. Never mind.

Or, give some info how this weeks game got named "BEDLAM?" Never understood it or have any idea how it originated. I think the soccer term derby is also a good candidate, also more appropriate for the OU/osu match. Musically, why no classically Thanksgiving tunes? hmm. Or just take a bike ride...

Not to beat a dead mule, will soccer ever catch on in the USA? I know rock stars love the MLS, but is it getting better? A nice piece, I think: http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/7470182

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This is an explanation of the term bedlam in this context from another message board:

"st. mary's of bethlehem was an insane asylum in london. the word 'bedlam' derives from a corruption of the word 'bethlehem.' 'bedlam' came to be a descriptor of chaos and insanity similar to what was rampant in that asylum.

fast forward to oklahoma territory in 1904 (i think) which was the first football game between ou and oklahoma a&m. the story i've heard was that the ball went into a creek at one point and players from each team dove in to recover it. it was chaos. hence the game was dubbed bedlam. the name stuck."

Dunno if that is the origin.
