More than a feeling

I don't read OU message boards but I can only imagine what they're saying today. What a debacle. In every way we embarrassed ourselves last night, and it's gotta be hurting the brand sooner or later. Bob's halo has well and truly slipped now, I'd have thought?

I only scan the OU message boards these days. Seems the usual FIRE THE COACHES! tide was turned pretty swiftly this year and actually morphed into legitimate discussions of what went wrong and how can our bowl chances improved. How refreshing. The most interesting comment came from a guy with possible coaching connections reporting a real clash in philosophies btw Stoops and Wilson re pro set and spread:

It seems to answer some of the offensive offense questions we had at halftime.

Hope he makes the right decisions to right it btw now and next years bowl!

that's good, it's always best to not lose what you've got. still, what an abject performance that was

Silly me, I thought u might have misused the term abject so I looked it up:

Meaning #3: showing utter resignation or hopelessness
Synonyms: resigned, unhopeful
The adjective abject has 4 meanings:

Meaning #1: of the most contemptible kind
Synonyms: low, low-down, miserable, scummy, scurvy

Meaning #2: most unfortunate or miserable

Meaning #3: showing utter resignation or hopelessness
Synonyms: resigned, unhopeful

Meaning #4: showing humiliation or submissiveness

I am prepared to say there could not have been a better description. I think #4 might be closest to what I took from that game.
